Sam Head Chef
Born in Colombo Sri Lanka .Chef Sam Liyanage studied hotel management and international cookery, before starting his career as a commis chef at
mount Lavinia hotel Sri Lanka in 1996 to 1999. worked in Dubai at royal mirage hotel as a pastry chef
in 2002 chef Sam has joined one of the world famous cruse line in USA as a sous chef .
in 2010 his journey brought him to Cayman where he started as a sous chef at lighthouse with in one year Sam got promoted to head chef.
In recent culinary competitions chef Sam has was awarded many medals
best plated desserts 1999 in Sri Lanka
black box competition champion 2002 in Dubai
award of excellence best main course 2010 in Cayman with 2 Gold and 1 silver medals
award of excellence best hot appetizer 2011 in Cayman with 2 Gold and 1 silver and 3 browns medals
